ROD SEALS
SEALPUR POLYURETHANE ROD SEALS
Among the several elements of cylinder sealing systems the rod seals are the most complicated. During the years many profiles have been produced using various materials depending on the application: from leather to impregnated fabrics and even to the recent urethane elastomers and the filled PTFE:
The most recent seals with a semicompact S,SD,SDA profile.
The standard seals with an asymmetric A, AD profile.
The “old” seals with symmetric UP lips.
PTFE ROD SEALS
PTFE seals provide in any case an elastomer ring acting as expander, which guarantees the right load of PTFE ring (not much elastic in itself) against the sealing surface. It is possible to use elastomers such as fluorathe or silicone rubber, which make them more resistant to aggressive fluids and critical temperature.
NBR ROD SEALS
In case of medium or low pressure our program provides nitrile rubber seals with asymmetric lips(S-DI) or with symmetric lips (S-UM).
