PNEUMATIC SEALS
The pneumatic cylinders work at very low pressure, fast speed and with poor or even without lubrication. For this reason the seals used in the pneumatic field have specially designed profiles even though they are made of materials similar to those used in the oleodynamic field. The S-DE piston seal, the S-DI rod seal and the entire piston P.M.P type are made of nitrile rubber. All these elements are widely used thanks to their low price and easy assembly. Three elements are also available made of the same material: - bidirectional wipers RBP-BCG-RCA type - wipers RCG type
The S-LAC rod and S-LAP piston seals are made of graphite filled PTFE with an O-ring as energizer. Since they require a more complex manufacturing the PTFE seals are more expensive, but they are able to endure extreme conditions such as high speed, poor lubrication or very low friction.
